Public Transport
The Vaihingen university campus is easily accessible via the S-Bahn suburban railway system. Travel times are approximately 10 minutes from Stuttgart Central Station (Hauptbahnhof) and 16 minutes from Stuttgart Airport.
During the day, 4 S-Bahn trains per hour operate between the Airport and the "Universität" station, and 6 trains per hour run between the Central Station and "Universität". From Stuttgart Central Station or the Airport, take S-Bahn line S1, S2, or S3 towards Vaihingen, get off at "Universität", and take the "Universitätszentrum" exit. Outside the exit, turn right and walk approximately 250 meters to Pfaffenwaldring 7. The Institute is located on the 3rd floor.
By Car
From the A8 and A81 motorways, drive to the Stuttgart interchange (Autobahnkreuz Stuttgart) and continue onto the A831/B14 towards Stuttgart-Zentrum. Leave the B14 expressway at the "Universität" exit and follow the road signs. Turn right at the first opportunity onto Pfaffenwaldring. After approximately 150 meters, turn left into the parking area. From there, it is just a short walk to Pfaffenwaldring 7. The Institute is located on the 3rd floor.
