On 3 and 4 November 2025, the Mercatorhalle Duisburg hosted the RegIKlim Status Conference, the central platform for exchange between all projects funded by the RegIKlim funding measure of BMFTR.
Partners of the ISAP project were also present and took the opportunity to present their results, perspectives, and approaches—regarding the development of the digital Climate Atlas of the Stuttgart Region and other fields of research—to other model regions and accompanying projects in workshops. The conference focused not only on the exchange of current results and methods in climate adaptation research, but also on the status of the development of the nationwide „Klimakataster”, which forms an important basis for nationwide climate date provision.
In addition, the conference showcased innovations in climate adaptation practice: contributions of the NRW Climate Atlas and insights into climate-related projects in the host region of Duisburg illustrated how climate services can have a concrete impact in municipalities and regions.
For ISAP, participation meant networking at the national level, exchanging ideas with other projects, and gaining valuable input for our own work—especially with regard to municipal climate adaptation and knowledge provision (including through the digital climate atlas). We look forward to incorporating the ideas from the conference into the next steps of our project.
